The IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems (T-AES) is pleased to announce a Special Section dedicated to high-quality extended versions of papers presented at the 2026 IEEE SPace, Aerospace and defenCE (SPACE) Conference, sponsored by the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS); this Special Section aims to highlight the strongest contributions from the conference. Only the authors of the accepted papers at SPACE 2026 organized during July 19-21, 2026 in Bengaluru, India are invited to submit substantially extended versions including additional results, analysis, derivations, or experimental validation, with not more than 30% overlap with the content of their conference paper, for consideration in this Special Section. Topics of interest include those aligned with the SPACE 2026 conference scope and T-AES focus areas.
Manuscripts must be substantially extended from the original SPACE 2026 conference paper and clearly indicate the conference paper title and ID in the cover letter. A maximum of 30% overlap with the conference version is allowed. All submissions will undergo the standard rigorous peer-review process of T-AES.
Prospective authors should submit their manuscripts following the IEEE TAES guidelines. Every paper submitted must include the conference paper as well along with the submission to verify the overlap among both the papers. Authors should submit a PDF version of their complete manuscript to IEEE TAES Submission Portal (https://ieee.atyponrex.com/journal/taes) according to the following schedule:
