India is rapidly positioning itself as a strategic global hub for Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), driven by expanding aviation demand, defence modernization, and national self-reliance initiatives. To compete globally, the MRO ecosystem must evolve beyond conventional maintenance practices toward intelligent, software-defined operations.
This interactive 2-hour workshop gives a glimpse of how Digital Twins, Physics-Based Simulation, AI/ML, Predictive Analytics, and Software Platforms are transforming Aerospace MRO worldwide. Global leaders such as Siemens, Ansys, GE Aerospace, IBM, and Palantir demonstrate the value of intelligent maintenance platforms and digital engineering ecosystems. The workshop will also have a Guest Speaker from the Aerospace field.
Participants will gain insights into how digital engineering technologies can enable:
The workshop will additionally explore AI strategy for MRO systems, including selection of suitable approaches such as physics-informed AI, computer vision, time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, and generative AI copilots—along with guidance on where each model class best fits within the maintenance lifecycle.
Beyond technology exploration, the session will include structured collaborative ideation to identify high-impact software/product opportunities for India’s emerging aerospace MRO ecosystem and validate practical implementation pathways.
Designed for professionals, researchers, startups, entrepreneurs, and students, the workshop aims to foster participation in early-stage innovation programs, prototype development, and internship-led proof-of-concept initiatives that can shape next-generation intelligent MRO solutions.
